Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy today said that the party would allot 100 seats to new and young leaders for the Assembly elections in 2019.
If the Assembly seats were increased, 50 seats would be allotted to senior and experienced party leaders, and the remaining 100 seats would be given to the youth to fight the ruling TRS effectively, he said while addressing a party meeting organised at NTR Trust Bhavan.
Calling upon the youth to get ready for the elections in 2019 and strive for the strengthening of TDP, Reddy said that in the coming elections four crore people of the state would be on one side and the family members of KCR would be on the other.
Launching a scathing attack on the ruling TRS and the functioning of the government, the TDP leader said though KCR might have experience in running an agitation, he had no experience of administration.
Criticising the government's functioning, state party president L Ramana said that the people of UP had taught a lesson to the SP family ruling the state, and the same fate would be faced by TRS in Telangana.
Party senior leaders Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy and E Peddireddy, TDP national committee member Arvind Kumar Goud, G Buchireddy, Amarnath, ex-MLAs Kottakota Dayakar Reddy, Seetakka and Gangadhar Goud, and others attended the meeting.
Training programs for TDP municipal-, mandal-, town- and division-level workers were also organised in the party headquarters.
